Barcelona have made a renewed approach to sign Manchester City centre-back Eric Garcia.
The La Liga outfit are said to be determined to re-sign their ex-academy graduate Garcia, who has refused to sign a new contract with the Citizens.
According to Marca via Daily Mail, the Catalan giants have made a new bid of €5m plus add-ons for the 19-year-old defender, but City instantly turned down the approach as they are not ready to drop their valuation.
Despite Garcia’s contract expiring next summer, Pep Guardiola’s side have allegedly set a €30m price tag on the teenager, while a recent report suggested that Barca were only prepared to offer €10m.
City, meanwhile, are still confident of convincing Garcia to sign a new contract if they are able to keep him beyond Monday’s transfer deadline day.
The Spanish international left Camp Nou in 2017 to join Manchester City and has made 25 senior appearances for the Premier League giants.
