Liverpool Prepare Fresh £120m Bid to Land Newcastle Star Alexander Isak
Reds Ramp Up Striker Hunt
Liverpool are reportedly readying a new proposal to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, according to transfer expert Mike Brown.
Arne Slot has already reshaped his attack this summer, bringing in Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt. However, with Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez sold and the tragic passing of Diogo Jota, the Reds are suddenly light on firepower.

The situation could worsen with Ben Doak nearing a move to Bournemouth, while Federico Chiesa and Harvey Elliott continue to be linked with exits. If those departures materialise, Slot would be left with only Ekitike, Cody Gakpo, and Mohamed Salah as senior attacking options.
Newcastle Reluctant but Under Pressure
Liverpool launched a £110m bid earlier this summer, but Newcastle made it clear they would not sell Isak for less than £120m. While the Magpies remain reluctant to lose their talisman, reports suggest they may have no choice if the Swedish forward pushes for the move.
Isak is said to be keen on a switch to Anfield, giving Liverpool confidence that a fresh approach could finally break Newcastle’s resistance.
Why Liverpool Want Isak
The 25-year-old joined Newcastle from Real Sociedad in 2022 and has since developed into one of the Premier League’s deadliest forwards. After 27 goal contributions in the 2023/24 campaign, he exploded last term with 27 goals and six assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.
At 6ft 4in, Isak combines physical presence with pace, technical skill, and clinical finishing. He is not only a threat in the air but also deadly with the ball at his feet, capable of scoring from distance or poaching inside the box.
A Potential Game-Changer for Slot
Should Liverpool seal the deal, Isak would instantly become the focal point of Slot’s attack and arguably the biggest transfer of their summer. With the Reds preparing a fresh bid, this could be one of the defining sagas of the transfer window.
