Liverpool eye January move for Fluminense’s Andre amid favourable conditions

Liverpool are considering making a move for Fluminense midfielder Andre in January under more favourable conditions, as per reports.

The Reds may revisit their interest in the 22-year-old attacker after their summer approaches were rebuffed. Liverpool’s transfer window ended positively, but they missed out on key midfield targets, facing unexpected departures of Fabinho and captain Jordan Henderson.

They pursued players like Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, who ultimately chose Chelsea. Liverpool even signed Wataru Endo from VfB Stuttgart as an alternative. However, their pursuit of Andre from Fluminense was thwarted as the club insisted on keeping him for their current season and activating his release clause, rejecting Liverpool’s offer, believed to be around £30 million.

The Merseyside giants may revive their interest in the Brazilian in the winter window, as it could provide more favourable market conditions.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp remains keen on the player and may push for another attempt in January. However, competition from other clubs like Chelsea and West Ham, who were also interested in the summer, remains a possibility.
