Report – Liverpool target Leon Bailey?

Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Liverpool, according to The Mirror.

The Reds, who were heavily linked with Thomas Lemar in previous transfer windows, have allegedly cooled their interest in the 22-year-old midfielder.

The report suggests that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is turning his attention to the 20-year-old Jamaican youngster, who has lit up the German football with 10 impressive goals in 22 appearances.

The report adds that Bailey could leave his current club for up to staggering £100m, an increase on £90m-rated Lemar.

The Merseyside giants’ only acquisition in January was the 26-year-old Dutchman Virgil van Dijk, who faces Ex-club Southampton for the first time on Sunday.
