Liverpool centre-back Nat Phillips has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Newcastle United, according to The Sun.
With Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip all set to return ahead of the new season, the 24-year-old Phillips would most likely spend a majority of next season on the bench if he remains at Anfield.
The Reds are ready to sell the Englishman this summer and it is believed that somewhere around £10 million could be enough to land him.
The centre-back featured in 17 top flight outings in 2020-21, and it appears he has convinced the Magpies of his quality.
Burnley are also said to be interested in signing the former Bolton Wanderers man, and the centre-back is not likely to be short of suitors in the upcoming transfer market.
