Jurgen Klopp mulls over Liverpool move for Kylian Mbappe

Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp ramped up his interest in signing PSG attacker Kylian Mbappe, according to Spanish media outlet Sport, as quoted by the Daily Express.

Klopp has made contact with the World Cup winner about a potential move to the Premier League at the end of the 2020-21 season.

The report adds that the English champions are the number one favourites to sign the 22-year-old following their long-term interest in the youngster.

The Merseyside giants may face competition from Real Madrid for Mbappe’s signature.

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is working hard to secure the Frenchman’s long-term future at Parc des Princes by sorting out the attacker’s contract situation.

While Los Blancos are the favourites to sign Mbappe, however, the report claims that the La Liga champions are facing financial difficulties due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Mbappe has netted 104 goals in 142 appearances in all competitions over the past four seasons at the French capital.
