The Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool centre-back Nat Phillips, according to The Athletic.
The 25-year-old defender is the club’s fifth choice this season and is struggling to cement his place as a first-team regular.
With the January transfer window closes in a couple of days, Okan Buruk’s side are ready to make a move for Phillips and a deal could be struck for around £10m.
The Reds are struggling to bring in midfielders to their squad, and it makes sense for the Merseyside outfit to cash in on fringe players and top up the budget ahead of the summer transfer window.
Galatasaray are currently top of the league, and their defence will become more robust with Phillips on board.
The Englishman joined AFC Bournemouth on loan from Liverpool until the end of the season.
