Man Utd Eye Shock Rashford-for-Watkins Swap Deal
Manchester United are reportedly open to swapping Marcus Rashford in a bold bid to sign Aston Villa’s in-form striker Ollie Watkins, per Daily Star reports.
Rashford, who was surprisingly loaned to Villa in January, has rediscovered his spark with nine goal contributions in claret and blue. Villa do hold a £40 million option to buy, but United may have a bigger plan in mind.

Watkins on United’s Radar – Cash Plus Rashford?
The Red Devils are believed to be preparing a player-plus-cash offer for Watkins, who’s enjoyed a stellar campaign with 16 goals and 13 assists in the Premier League. United’s interest signals a serious attempt to bolster their frontline with proven firepower.
Arsenal previously tried their luck with a £40m bid for the 29-year-old in January but were rebuffed, with Villa valuing him closer to £60m. United now hope that throwing Rashford into the mix could sweeten the deal.
Could Hojlund Be on the Move?
Interestingly, this potential transfer could hint at a bigger shake-up. Rasmus Hojlund, signed with great expectations, has been linked with a move back to Serie A. Watkins arriving might just open the door for his exit.
Despite approaching 30, Watkins is still one of the Premier League’s most complete strikers. For United, it’s a calculated gamble that could bring immediate attacking returns.
