Leeds United want Ilias Akhomach
Barcelona prodigy Ilias Akhomach is reportedly on the radar of Leeds United ahead of the summer transfer window, according to ESPN.
The Yorkshire giants are eager to sign the 18-year-old forward during the summer transfer window. However, due to their struggles in the Premier League, persuading the teenager may prove to be a challenging task.
Akhomach began his youth career with Hostalets de Pierola and Gimnastic Manresa before joining Barcelona in 2017. Since then, he has made significant progress in Barcelona’s youth division over the last five and a half years. This season, he has become a crucial player for Barcelona Atletic.
Akhomach has made three appearances for Barcelona’s first team, but he has yet to establish himself at the Camp Nou. However, the fact that he is in the final months of his contract, which has piqued the interest of Leeds United.
The Whites sees Akhomach as a feasible target, particularly on a Bosman transfer this summer. He has demonstrated a lot of potential while playing for Barcelona Atletic and could be an excellent complement to Wilfried Gnonto in the attacking lineup.
