Leeds United sign Brenden Aaronson on five-year deal

Leeds United have announced the signing of Brenden Aaronson from Red Bull Salzburg until June 2027.

The 21-year-old will join the Whites for an undisclosed fee on a five-year contract.

He has been impressive for the Austrian champions this season, contributing six goals and 10 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.

Aaronson moved to Salzburg in January last year and linked up with current Leeds head coach Jesse Marsch, who was in charge of Red Bull Salzburg between 2019 and 2021.

Speaking on Aaronson’s arrival, Marsch told the club’s official website: “Brenden is an incredibly hard worker and we’re pleased to welcome him to the club.

“He adapts very well to tactical ideas and levels of play and his mentality is to do whatever it takes to help the team succeed. I know he will fit in here perfectly with our players and club with this mindset.”

The USA international is now set to join up with the national squad ahead of their friendly games against Morocco, Uruguay, Grenada and El Salvador next month.
