Bruno Guimaraes joins Newcastle United
|Newcastle United have announced the signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Lyon.
The 24-year-old moves to the St. James’ Park on a four-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee, believed to be worth around £30m.
The Brazil international becomes Eddie Howe’s side third signing of 2022, following the arrivals of Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood.

“Bruno is a hugely exciting talent and has been one of our primary targets so I’m delighted to secure him. He strengthens the group immediately ready for the challenge ahead,” read a statement from manager Eddie Howe.
“He has been one of the standout performers in France and is a full international for Brazil so I have no doubt our supporters will really enjoy watching him. We look forward to welcoming him to the club on his return from international duty.”
Guimaraes could make his debut for the Tyneside outfit in a Premier League action with Everton on February 8.
