Chelsea considering move for Lyon playmaker Houssem Aouar

Chelsea have reportedly outlined their intentions to move for Lyon playmaker Houssem Aouar, according to Italian media outlet Tuttomercato.

The Blues are “seriously interested” in a deal to sign the 21-year-old playmaker in this summers transfer window.

The report adds that Chelsea hold the midfielder in high regard ahead of a potential swoop for Aouar.

The west London side could face fierce competition from Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal in the summer.

Les Gones could demand a deal somewhere in the region of €50m if Chelsea want to sign the Frenchman this summer.

Aouar has contributed nine goals and seven assists in 34 games across all competitions so far this term.

Chelsea will host Liverpool in their FA Cup 5th-round tie on Tuesday.
