Man City’s Raheem Sterling signs new contract
|Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling has committed his long-term future to the club after signing a new long-term contract that promises to keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2023.
Sterling has impressed with the Citizens since joining the club in 2015 – scoring 51 goals in 144 appearances across all competitions – but The 23-year-old’s deal had been due to expire in 2020.
The Spanish giants Real Madrid have been heavily linked with an approach for the England international, but City have put an end to the speculation by announcing that the attacker has signed a new long-term contract until 2023.

The announcement is a huge boost for City and manager Pep Guardiola, who has made Sterling an integral part of the team since being appointed as head coach in 2016.
Sterling has scored six times and registered five assists in nine Premier League appearances so far this season.
