Wolves on verge of signing Atletico Madrid defender Felipe?

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly closing in on the signing of Atletico Madrid defender Felipe.

Since the arrival of new head coach Julen Lopetegui, the West Midlands outfit have been credited with an interest in a number of players.

Real Madrid duo Nacho and Mariano Diaz and Sevilla defender Marcus Acuna have all been linked with a potential switch to Molineux in recent weeks.

However, it has been suggested that Wolves are attempting to negotiate the transfer of Matheus Cunha from Atletico Madrid.

The club’s officials had already held talks with the representatives of the Brazilian.

The transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims Wolves are also said to be attempting to sign Cunha’s teammate Felipe, who made just three starts during 2022-23.

The 33-year-old has made 112 appearances in all competitions for Los Rojiblancos.
