Who will be crowned FIFA player of the year?

The nominations for the 2013 Ballon d’Or has been released to the public and this time five Premier League players have been nominated for this award.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the only two that have got a chance of winning, but big names like the Franck Ribery from Bayern Munich, PSG star Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Barca duo Xavi and Iniesta are also in the nomination list and it has been expected that Frenchman Ribery would be the biggest threat for stopping Messi getting a 5th Ballon d’Or apart from Ronaldo.

The 30-year-old midfielder, who has played 53 games scoring 12 and assisting 8 times in his last season and helped Bayern to a champions league win. Ribery is one of the Bayern’s top players since he joined the club in 2007. Recentaly, He won the UEFA European player of the year 2012/2013 by beating Ronaldo and Messi to claim that title, this is the reason, Ribery would be a big threat to both Ronaldo and Messi.
