Tottenham Hotspur are keeping close tabs on Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake as they step up their hunt for a new centre-back, according to Football Insider.
Spurs are in the market for a new centre-back and have identified the Dutchman as an ideal replacement for Jan Vertonghen, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
The north Londoners have a longstanding interest in Ake and are set to watch him closely over the coming weeks.
The 24-year-old defender has made a big impression at Dean Court since arriving from Chelsea in 2017.
The Netherlands international has made 104 appearances for the Cherries in all competitions, scoring 10 times in the process.
Ake’s current deal expires at the end of the 2021-22 campaign, though, and it is uncertain whether Bournemouth have any plans to open talks over a fresh contract.
Ake has also previously been linked with a move to Manchester City.
