Solskjaer Appointed New Cardiff City Manager

The 40-year-old Norwegian replaces the Scottish Malky Mackay, who was sacked after his relationship dispute with club owner Vincent Tan.

On Thursday – 2 Jan 2013, The Former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been named as the new manager of Cardiff City and insisted to their fans to finish the premier league higher than the Welsh rivals Swansea City.

Solskjaer told a news conference: “I would like us to finish above Swansea.

Cardiff are fourth from bottom with 18 points while Swansea are four places higher than Cardiff with 21 points in premier league standings.

Solskjaer spent most of his career at United as a striker after signing from Molde in 1996.
