Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo wins third Ballon d’Or over Messi & Neuer

The Real Madrid and Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo has won the 2014 FIFA Ballon d’Or award for the second time in a row at the ceremony in Zurich.

The 29-year-old attacker, who scored 52 goals providing 17 assists in 43 games last year, beat the Barcelona forward Lionel Messi and the Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
The performances for the Spanish outfit that drew the most attention, helping the club to their 10th European Cup, the Copa del Rey and Club World Cup in 2014.

Ronaldo also became the fastest player to score 200 goals in his 178th league match for the Catalan club.
