Manchester United have reportedly agreed a fee of £80m for the signing of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to The Sun.
The Serbia international has established himself as one of Europe’s hottest prospects, scoring 13 times and providing nine assists in 45 appearances for the Serie A outfit this season.
The Red Devils were initially reluctant to meet the Biancocelesti’s asking price but, with several other European clubs monitoring the 23-year-old midfielder, have opted to increase their offer.
The report adds that a deal has now been agreed between the two clubs, which should see Milinkovic-Savic heading to Old Trafford this summer.
Manchester United have also been linked with moves for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Fred and Napoli’s Jorginho in recent weeks as they begin to prepare for life after Michael Carrick’s impending retirement.
