Report – Fenerbahce Target Yves Bissouma

Fenerbahce have set their sights on Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma as they look to bolster their midfield ahead of the 2025/26 season.

According to Turkish outlet Hurriyet, the Istanbul giants have submitted an offer to sign the 28-year-old Malian on loan, with an option to make the deal permanent next year. Talks are ongoing between the two clubs as Fenerbahce look to strike a deal.

Bissouma joined Spurs from Brighton in 2022 for €29 million with high expectations. While he showed flashes of brilliance, consistency has eluded him in North London. In 100 appearances for the Lilywhites, he has scored just once and is now deemed expendable by the club.

Fenerbahce’s interest comes at a time of midfield transition. Sofyan Amrabat’s loan spell may not be extended, and Fred, now 31, is entering the latter stages of his career. A dynamic ball-winner like Bissouma fits the profile they’re after.

The key sticking point remains Tottenham’s stance. The Premier League side may prefer a permanent transfer over a loan arrangement. However, with Bissouma’s future in limbo, a move to Turkey could offer the midfielder a fresh start and regular minutes.

Could a Süper Lig switch reignite Bissouma’s career? Keep an eye on this developing story as negotiations continue.
