Report: Arsenal to return for Julian Draxler transfer?

Arsenal are all set to trigger a fresh approach for Wolfsburg’s Julian Draxler this January following the speculations on rife that the midfielder may be allowed to leave the Volkswagen Arena.

The Germany international, who joined the club from Schalke back in 2015 for £25 million – has made it clear that he intended to make a move away from the German club at the end of the season, having been the subject of various failed bids in the summer.

The Sun claims, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is still interested in signing the 23-year-old attacker when the transfer window reopens in January.

The midfielder has also been linked with Europe’s elite clubs – Juventus and PSG, however, with agent Fabio Parisi revealing that a move to the Gunners seems close this January.

Draxler scored nine times in 34 appearances last season, but has yet to score a goal or an assist in ten appearances so far this campaign.
