Report – Arsenal closing in on William Saliba

Arsenal are on the verge of signing William Saliba from Saint-Etienne for €25m plus bonuses, according to The Sun.

Romain Collet-Gaudin of Canal Plus reported that the 18-year-old highly-rated central defender was now expected to sign for the Gunners for €25m plus bonuses. However, Collet-Gaudin added that the teenager would be loaned back to Ligue 1 outfit, as per the aforementioned reports.

The Frenchman has a bright future ahead of him, signing him up now would be excellent addition by the north Londoners.

The £20m-valued star is expected to be loaned back to Saint-Etienne for another season should the move materialise.

It is understood, Arsenal are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements ahead of next season, However, they only have limited funds to splash on new signings this summer.
