Real Sociedad sign Adnan Januzaj from Man United

The La Liga outfit Real Sociedad have officially signed the Manchester United midfielder Adnan Januzaj on a five-year deal, believed to be worth around £9m.

The Belgium international thought to have been surplus at Old Trafford, was not a part of the Red Devils squad for their pre-season tour to the United States.

The 22-year-old has made 27 appearances during his debut season in 2013-14, and has since gone on to out on loan by Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho.

A statement on the Manchester United website read: “Adnan Januzaj has completed a transfer to Real Sociedad. Everybody at Manchester United wishes Adnan well for the next chapter of his career.”

The winger endured a miserable spell with Sunderland during the 2016-17 campaign as the Black Cats finished bottom of the Premier League last term.

Januzaj becomes the third major exit from Manchester United this summer, following Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney.

Real Sociedad finished 6th in La Liga last season and secured a qualification for the Europa League.
