Twitter reacts as Liverpool edge to a 2-0 victory over Newcastle

Liverpool climbed to fifth after cruising to a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United in the Premier League clash at Anfield.

Despite Red’s shaky start, they opened the scoring in the eighth minute as Raheem Sterling’s brilliantly curled the ball into the net.

The Merseysiders were soon in an action again to double their lead in the 70th minute, thanks to Joe Allen’s simple tap-in.

The win moves Liverpool up to fifth place in the league table, while the Magpies continue to struggle in 13th.
