Pellegrini hopeful of Premier League title

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is confident that his side can win the Premier League title this season as well, if the club cannot drop any more points.

The reigning Premier League champions are currently in second spot, six points behind league leaders Chelsea, with the Blues having a game in hand.

City have eight games left to stop Chelsea with a hope of retaining the Premier League title, while Arsenal are also in the race – with just a point away to second place.

The Chilean aware his side must start winning games with a margin if they are to challenge for the silverware, starting with their next match against Crystal Palace on Monday.

“If we want to continue in first position of the table we must not drop any more points,” he said.

“It’s easy to say but not easy to do it. We just know that from now until the end of the season we must try to win all the games and we will see what we can do.”

Chelsea are remain favourites to win Premier League for the first time since 2010 as they are leading with 67 points, with a match in hand.
