Newcastle United are looking to reignite their interest in Flamengo’s Matheus Franca during this summer’s transfer season.
According to Sport Witness, the Magpies are ready to ramp up their pursuit of the 18-year-old midfielder in the upcoming transfer window.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is said to be on the hunt for a new playmaker and has singled out the young Brazilian as a possible summer signing.
Franca, is contorted to the club until 2027, still has much to learn and develop. He is sure to catch people’s attention eventually and the Magpies may gain an advantage early on next summer.
Despite being contracted to Flamengo until 2027 and having much to improve, Franca is destined to become a sought-after player. The Tyneside outfit may have an edge by making a move early on in the summer.
Both Newcastle United and Bayer Leverkusen are competing to sign Franca, but according to Brazilian media reports, Eddie Howe’s side had three offers for the teenager turned down last month.
