Newcastle United set to make fresh bid for Anthony Gordon

Newcastle United reportedly remain undeterred in their efforts to sign Everton’s Anthony Gordon.

The Magpies are reportedly set to submit a new bid to the 21-year-old winger, following a £35m offer rejected by the Toffees.

According to Chronicle Live, The Tyneside outfit are preparing a fresh offer for the youngster, with the club looking to add more depth to their attacking options.

The report adds that Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is willing to offload Allan Saint-Maximin to raise funds for new signings, which could help the North-East outfit the asking price set by Everton.

Frank Lampard’s side are believed to be looking for a fee somewhere in the region of £40m, but they are focused on agreeing on an improved contract with the winger.

Gordon has three years left to run on his contract at Goodison Park.
