Chelsea have reportedly expressed an interest in making an audacious move for Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino this summer.
The 28-year-old attacker, who was heavily linked with both Everton and Manchester United in January, has made 20 appearances for the Italian outfit this season.
A recent report claimed that Chelsea were interested in a deal for the Uruguayan, who could be available for €25m during the summer transfer window.
However, according to The Express, the Blues have been informed that the asking price is £23m, and the Premier League giants are prepared to meet Inter’s valuation to complete a deal.
Chelsea will prioritise a move for a central midfielder and Vecino has been identified as an ideal target ahead of the 2020/21 season.
The veteran midfielder has spent much of his career in Italy after departing Nacional for Fiorentina in 2013.
