Manchester City interested in signing Dani Olmo

Manchester City have reportedly set their sights on Dani Olmo as Barcelona continues to grapple with financial hurdles that may affect the Spaniard’s registration status.

The midfielder, who joined the Catalan giants from RB Leipzig just six months ago, is facing uncertainty due to La Liga’s strict financial fair play (FFP) regulations.

Barcelona initially faced registration struggles for Olmo, forcing the club to de-register injured stars like Andreas Christensen and Ronald Araujo to comply with the rules. With both players nearing returns from injury, the issue has resurfaced, leaving Barcelona with a December 31 deadline to resolve Olmo’s situation.

Despite the challenges, Olmo remains committed to Barcelona and hopes to stay long-term. His agent, however, has reportedly engaged in preliminary discussions with other clubs, including Manchester City. Pep Guardiola, renowned for his tactical acumen, is said to be intrigued by Olmo’s versatility and system adaptability.
