Man Utd News: Mourinho wants Harry Kane to join him at Old Trafford

The former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified Tottenham star Harry Kane as his prime transfer target should the Portuguese become the next manager at Manchester United.

The 22-year-old England international, has been in excellent form this season, pushing Spurs towards the Premier League title, and Mourinho is said to be interested to acquire him at Old Trafford.

The 53-year-old manager has been constantly linked with the managerial position at Old Trafford, which is currently being held by the Dutchman Louis van Gaal.

Mourinho, who left the Blues back in December – has started to identify a list of potential signings he would like the club to make it possible if the Red Devils decide to appoint him as their next manager, according to ESPN.

It is said that Mourinho is a great admirer of Kane’s performance and intensity, which could underpin his re-shape United side. If Mourinho becomes the manager, Kane would reportedly be one of five new acquisition at Old Trafford this summer.

Meanwhile, according to the Spanish newspaper El País, Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes confirmed the Portuguese has already penned an agreement to move to Manchester United.
