Manchester United have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Max Aarons from Norwich City, according to Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol.
The Red Devils are on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to improve his squad for his first full campaign in charge.
United have already completed a deal to sign Daniel James from Swansea City, and Juan Mata has committed his long term future at the club.
Now, reporter Solhekol has claimed that the Red Devils have their focus on bringing in Aarons from Norwich City this summer.
The reporter claims that United view the 19-year-old as a potential alternative to Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Solhekol tweeted: “Manchester United stepping up their pursuit of Norwich City right-back Max Aarons. See him as alternative to Aaron Wan Bissaka.
“United have been in talks to sign Wan Bissaka but have not been able to agree deal with Crystal Palace yet. Aarons is EFL young player of the season.”
Aarons has contributed two goals and six assists in 41 Championship appearances for the Canaries last season.
