Man City eye €40m plus move for Tijjani Reijnders

Manchester City are reportedly eyeing AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders as their next potential reinforcement, with a €40 million-plus bid on the horizon.

Pep Guardiola’s side are keen to bolster their midfield further, despite having already made several additions this summer.

Reijnders has quickly risen to prominence since his move from AZ Alkmaar to Milan in 2023 for just €18 million. His consistent performances and versatility have caught the attention of Europe’s elite clubs.

At 26, he’s seen as a prime candidate to replace key figures like Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne, who are nearing the twilight of their careers.

With AC Milan reluctant to sell during the winter, Reijnders’ four-year contract puts them in a strong negotiating position. However, City’s tempting offer could test their resolve as they consider his growing value.

Reijnders’ ability to adapt to different roles in the midfield makes him an ideal candidate for Guardiola’s style of play, and a possible long-term investment for the Premier League champions.
