Lyon have reportedly placed emphasis on signing Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud in the January transfer window.
The France international has made seven appearances for Chelsea during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring once under the management of Frank Lampard.
Giroud, 33, continues to be heavily linked with a move away from the Stamford Bridge with his contract due to expire at the end of the campaign.
The Serie A duo Inter Milan and Juventus have both recently been mentioned as possible suitors, but according to FCInterNews, the Ligue 1 outfit Lyon are also interested in a new year deal.
The report suggests that Les Gones have placed Giroud at the top of their wishlist for the January transfer window.
The Frenchman is allegedly keen to secure the first-team action ahead of France’s Euro 2020 campaign.
