New York City FC: Frank Lampard scores his first MLS goal

Former Chelsea legend Frank Lampard opened his account for New York City FC after the midfielder scores his first MLS goal in New York City’s 2-0 victory over Toronto in front of a packed Yankee Stadium last night.

The 37-year-old joined MLS outfit NYC FC at the end of last season but his time since has been hampered with injuries, being restricted to just five appearances but has gradually regained his fitness.

The Englishman scored in 20th minute, when he took a right-footed shot in the box from defender RJ Allen.

Lampard spent 13 seasons with Chelsea FC, won three Premier League titles and scoring 176 goals in 599 games.
