Juventus have reportedly expressed an interest in making an audacious move for Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz.
The Brazil international has established himself as a regular in the Villa side since a move from Manchester City in 2019, having made 117 appearances with seven goals.
His deal due to expire in summer 2023, the Midlands outfit found themselves batting off plenty of attention for the Brazilian over the summer.
Villa will try and persuade the 24-year-old midfielder to sign fresh terms and extend his stay at Villa Park.
However, a report on Wednesday morning suggested Luiz has already decided to leave the Midlands outfit on a free transfer next summer.
Chelsea and Liverpool were believed to be keen before they eventually acquired the signatures of Denis Zakaria and Arthur Melo respectively.
But it was Arsenal who were the front-runners for Luiz’s signature on deadline day, having a £23m bid rejected by Villa.
