Emre Can wants to Join Man City

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has reportedly expressed his interest in Manchester City as his ideal destination next summer, reports the Daily Star.

The German international is convinced by the prospect of playing at the Etihad Stadium, and is willing to turn down the Italian champions Juventus in order to make a move to the Manchester club.

Contract negotiations between the Merseyside giants and Can have not progressed, and it looks like that the 23-year-old midfielder will move on when his contract expires in the summer.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man has been courted by a number of European heavyweights clubs. However, it seems the Citizens, who have been linked with him in the past, are the frontrunners for his signature.

Can has been inconsistent for the Reds since his arrival, and is sure to be met with many potential suitors at the end of his contract.
