Chelsea have emerged as rumoured suitors for Saint-Etienne teenager Lucas Gourna-Douath, according to Foot Mercato.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is expected to be handed a significant war chest for the upcoming transfer window.
While the Blues have been strongly linked with the likes of Erling Braut Haaland, it appears that the club’s hierarchy are also keen to add a less-proven prospect to their ranks.
The west Londoners have been left impressed by the development of Gourna-Douath, who has broken into the Ligue 1 outfit’s first team this season and the Premier League giants are allegedly prepared to pay somewhere in the region of £23m.
The 17-year-old midfielder, who has a contract at Saint-Etienne until 2023, has made nine starts and 14 substitute appearances in the French top flight.
