Chelsea have reportedly identified Real Madrid centre-back Rafa Marin as a potential addition to their squad.
The 20-year-old’s contract with the Madrid expires in June 2024, making him available for a transfer fee in the region of £5m to £10m.
The Telegraph states that the Blues are preparing to submit an offer for the Spaniard, who is still waiting for his professional debut with Real Madrid.
The report goes on to claim that the West Londoners will be competing with RB Leipzig and Juventus Marin, as both teams are said to be showing interest in the centre-back.
Despite not yet making his debut for the La Liga champions, Marin has caught the eye with his performances for the reserve team and has also represented Spain at the youth level.
Graham Potter’s side are reportedly looking to make the deal happen at a lower price point later this summer, due to the fact that Marin’s contract has only 18 months left at the Bernabeu.
