Chelsea identify Andre Onana as Kepa Arrizabalaga replacement

Chelsea have reportedly identified Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to The Mirror, as quoted by The Express.

Arrizabalaga has endured a frustrating time since arriving at London outfit and it remains to be seen whether manager Frank Lampard sticks with the Spaniard next season.

The 25-year-old became the world’s most expensive goalkeeper when he joined the Blues for £71million two years ago, but the Spanish keeper has struggled to live up to that price tag.

The Premier League giants could face fierce competition from the French champions Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Ajax shot-stopper Andre Onana.

The report adds, the west London outfit are lining up a swoop to sign the Cameroon international as a replacement for Arrizabalaga in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea would have to pay £30m in order to sign Onana from the Dutch outfit this summer given his impressive display between the sticks.

Onana racked up 39 appearances for the Eredivisie outfit across all competitions this term.
