Arsenal Weigh Up €140m Bid for PSG Star Désiré Doué

Arsenal are reportedly considering a huge move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Désiré Doué, with Mikel Arteta keen to add another elite attacker to his squad.

According to Fichajes, the Gunners would be prepared to explore a deal worth around €140 million for the 21-year-old. No formal offer of that size has been confirmed.

Why Arsenal Admire Doué

Since arriving from Rennes in 2024, the Frenchman has become one of Europe’s most exciting young forwards. He can operate on the left, drift inside or play in more advanced central areas, and that flexibility appeals to Arteta.

Doué starred in PSG’s 5-0 Champions League final win over Inter in 2025, scoring twice and setting up another. He also lifted the trophy again in 2026 after PSG beat Arsenal on penalties. This season he has scored against Manchester City in a 4-2 win on 14 October.

PSG Hold the Upper Hand

Doué is contracted until 2029 and is central to Luis Enrique’s plans, so PSG are under no pressure to sell. Arsenal reportedly had the chance to sign him for around €30 million two years ago, which shows how dramatically his value has risen.

Our Take

Arsenal need quality on the left, with Christos Tzolis their only specialist option there. Doué’s versatility makes him a fascinating fit, but €140 million is an enormous outlay. In my view, PSG will take some convincing, and the Gunners may need to go well beyond expectations to land him.
