Arsenal have reached out to the agent of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to explore the possibility of bringing the player to the Emirates Stadium.
The Serbia international has been linked with a move away from Lazio over the last couple of years, with a number of clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in his services.
The Serbian has entered the final 18 months of his contract with Lazio.
However, according to Correire dello Sport, the Gunners have now made contact with the Milinkovic-Savic’s agent to discuss a potential switch to Premier League during this summer’s transfer window.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed another stellar season with Biancocelesti, contributing five goals and seven assists in 22 appearances across all competitions.
The attacker joined Lazio from Genk in 2015, and he has now represented the Italian outfit on 316 occasions, scoring 63 goals and providing 58 assists in the process.
It is unlikely that Lazio will permit the midfielder to leave this month, but there is a chance that the attacker could be transferred during the summer.
