Arsenal frontrunners to sign Ibrahima Bamba

Arsenal have reportedly taken the lead in the race to sign Vitoria Guimaraes midfielder Ibrahima Bamba.

The 20-year-old, whose buy-out clause is set at €30m, has established himself as a key member of the squad at the Dom Afonso Henriques stadium this season, making 16 appearances in the league for the Portuguese powerhouse.

The Gunners are actively seeking new players, and it appears they are close to finalising an “imminent” transfer deal to bring Bamba to the Emirates from Vitoria Guimaraes.

According to Portuguese outlet Jornal de Notícias, It appears that Arsenal are at the forefront of the race to sign the youngster and are “stepping up their efforts” to finalise the swoop.

Bamba has received widespread praise for his performances from clubs throughout Europe, with Paris Saint-Germain, Club Brugge, and Atalanta BC all said to have expressed interest in the Italian.
