Arsenal eye January move for Ibrahim Salah

Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on the development of 23-year-old Moroccan winger Ibrahim Salah at Ligue 1 club Stade Rennais.

The Gunners, seeking a wide attacker in the upcoming transfer windows, have sents scouts to monitor Salah’s performances in recent weeks.

The Morocco international joined Stade Rennais from KAA Gent in January 2023. Although not a regular starter, he has impressed with five goals in 15 appearances for the club. The player’s talent has garnered attention, including interest from Arsenal.

While the Gunners are prioritising a striker and a centre-back in the January transfer window, a move for a wide attacker like Salah may be deferred to the summer. The North Londoners are considering various options, with Pedro Neto among their targets. However, the report suggests that a pursuit of Salah in January is unlikely.

Scouts will continue to monitor Salah’s progress in the coming months, with the winger potentially serving as an alternative to Gabriel Martinelli on the left flank. As the Gunners plan its moves for the 2024 summer transfer window, Salah could emerge as a prominent figure on their wishlist.
