West Ham vs. Fulham Preview

David Moyes will keep track of the Premier League live scores when his West Ham side welcomes fellow Londoners Fulham for a derby match at the London Stadium. After picking up a fantastic win against Wolves last weekend, another victory against Fulham, coupled with Leeds United potentially losing points in their match against Crystal Palace, will allow West Ham to move a few places up in the league table.

On the other hand, Fulham will hope to bounce back from their demoralising 4-1 defeat to Newcastle and return to winning ways against a West Ham side that are yet to hit the highs they hit last season.

Fulham had a terrible start against Newcastle as Nathaniel Chalobah had to leave the pitch after receiving a deserving red for a high challenge on Sean Longstaff. Only eight minutes had passed after the kickoff at that point. Visitors Newcastle took advantage of their numerical superiority and went 3-0 up in the first half. Callum Wilson, Miguel Almiron, and Sean Longstaff got their names on the scoresheet before the interval.

Miguel Almiron added a second to his name in the 57th minute before De Cordova-Reid scored a consolation goal for the hosts two minutes before the match went to injury time.

Despite the heavy defeat to Newcastle in front of the Craven Cottage crowd, Fulham has enjoyed a decent return to the Premier League so far. The Cottagers sit comfortably in the top ten ahead of their trip to the London Stadium with a four-point lead over their Sunday afternoon hosts West Ham.

But injury and suspensions can make the match difficult for Marco Silva’s side. Nathaniel Chalobah can’t be a part of the travelling squad because of a red card suspension. But, Fulham will be more worried about the potential absence of Aleksandar Mitrovic. The Serbian has scored 6 goals in 8 Premier League matches for Fulham this season. But, he might not make it to London Stadium as he had to leave the pitch early against Newcastle after sustaining an injury. Layvin Kurzawa, who played his first match for Fulham last weekend, also received a knock that could keep him out of action against West Ham.

On the contrary, West Ham doesn’t have any fresh injury concerns to worry about. Moyes would have been delighted to see Jarrod Bowen returning to his goalscoring form against Wolves. The inclusion of Lucas Paqueta in the attack has made the Hammers even more dangerous going forward.

Since Fulham will likely miss some of their key players, West Ham are clear favourites to win the game. Our prediction is a 3-1 win for West Ham.
