Tottenham keen on signing Hakim Ziyech

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech as a potential summer signing. according to Football Insider.

The 30-year-old has fallen down in the pecking order at Chelsea and may be looking for a new club.

He was very close to joining Paris Saint-Germain during the winter transfer window. The Parisians were ready to sign him on loan, but the deal collapsed at the last moment. Although this created some tension between the two sides, PSG are expected to make another push for Ziyech’s services in the summer. However, they will face stiff competition from Tottenham Hotspur.

Ziyech joined Chelsea in 2020. He was outstanding at the 2022 FIFA World Cup for Morocco and helped his nation reach the semi-finals, becoming the first African team to do so. However, the midfielder has failed to live up to expectations at the club level.

Ziyech has made only 19 appearances for Chelsea this season and has registered just one assist in all competitions.

Chelsea needs to offload a few players in the summer after spending a fortune on new signings in the past two transfer windows. As per reports, the Blues are willing to sell the Moroccan for a fee of around £20 million.

Tottenham Hotspur are willing to pay a significant amount for the midfielder. Spurs believes that his arrival could bring depth and a new dynamic to their midfield. It remains to be seen if the Lilywhites will be successful in their pursuit of the attacking midfielder.
