Top Transfers in January 2014

The January transfer window brings some shocking and interesting signings this season. We have listed top 5 transfers from winter transfer window, have a look.

5: Konstantinos Mitroglou [Olympiacos > Fulham]

The Greek striker joined Fulham from Olympiakos for £12m. The 25-year-old has established himself as an excellent prospect in Greece. He made a two successful loan spells at Panionios and Atromitos with scoring 89 goals in 198 appearances since he arrived at Olympiacos in 2007 summer.

4: Yohan Cabaye [Newcastle United > Paris Saint-Germain]

The French midfielder joined Ligue 1 side PSG from Newcastle United for £19m. The 28-year-old is well also known for his free kick and penalty kick. He has scored 18 goals and 15 assists in 93 appearances for The Magpies since he arrived at St James’ Park in 2011.

3: Mohamed Salah [Basel > Chelsea]

The Egyptian winger joined Chelsea from FC Basel for £11m. The 21-year-old starlet has scored 20 goals in 78 appearances since he arrived at St. Jakob-Park in 2012. Salah has been awarded the CAF Most Promising African Talent of the Year award in 2012.

2: Keisuke Honda [CSKA Moscow > AC Milan]

The Japanese midfielder joined AC Milan from CSKA Moscow on a free transfer. The 27-year-old playmaker is known for his free-kicks. He has scored 28 goals in 121 appearances for CSKA Moscow. Honda was also a member of Japan national team in 2010 FIFA World Cup.

1: Juan Mata [Chelsea > Manchester United]

The Spanish midfielder joined Manchester United from Chelsea for £37m. The 25-year-old is also capable of playing as a winger. He has scored 33 goals in 135 appearances for the Blues since his arrival at Stamford Bridge in 2011. Mata has been named Chelsea Player of the Year twice in 2011–12 and 2012–13.
