Rumours: Man Utd willing to pay £100m for Gareth Bale
|Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has been told that the club are ready to offer a whooping £100m for Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale if the Welshman becomes available before next season, according to The Telegraph.
Since his world-record move from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013, the 25-year-old has often been criticised by his supporters and as a result, the Red Devils have been repeatedly linked with the midfielder.
The report has suggested that the club management have made it clear that they are prepared to launch a big-money move for Real’s Bale if the Spanish club decide to sell him in this summer.
However, Los Blancos have already claimed that they wouldn’t listen to any offers for Bale, and club’s president Florentino Perez is determined to retain his services.
Meanwhile Manchester United is also interested in the services of the following this summer:
- Dortmund defender Mats Hummels
- Southampton back Nathaniel Clyne and
- PSV winger Memphis Depay
