Man City eyeing up move for Declan Rice
|Manchester City have reportedly identified West Ham United‘s Declan Rice as a potential signing if the club’s captain Fernandinho leaves this summer, according to The Times.
Fernandinho’s contract is due to expire at the end of next month.
The Premier League leaders are supposedly willing to offer him a 12-month extension, but it remains to be seen if he agree on that proposition.
According to The Times, should Fernandinho leave this summer, City boss Pep Guardiola has identified West Ham’s Declan Rice as an ideal replacement.
The England international also continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United, but the Hammers manager David Moyes has previously affirmed that the 22-year-old defensive midfielder is not for sale.
Rice has made 142 appearances for West Ham United.
