Leeds consider January swoop for Fikayo Tomori?
|Leeds United have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Chelsea out-of-favour Fikayo Tomori in the January transfer window.
Head coach Marcelo Bielsa revealed that he has no plans to bring a new centre-back at the Elland Road outfit, but a loan deal in January has not been ruled out.
The Whites assess potential options to bolster their injury-ravaged backline.
Football Insider reports that Tomori is being considered by the Yorkshire giants as a defensive option to recruit in January and that the centre-back would be keen on a move.
The 22-year-old defender, who has found himself down in the pecking order – has struggled for game time at Stamford Bridge and has featured in only one of the club’s 18 top flight and Champions League matches so far this season.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is willing to loan Tomori out for the second half of the season after discussions over a season-long loan to West Ham United collapsed in early October.
