Fans reaction: Tottenham finish behind bitter North London rivals Arsenal
|Tottenham Hotspur’s suffered a 5-1 defeat to Newcastle United, meaning Arsenal finish second this season.
Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to express their reaction to missing out on the second place in the Premier League this season.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side needed just a draw to acquire second spot in the standings, which was quite comfortable for Spurs, but the Magpies gave a stunning performance, especially in the second half – finished the match with 10 men and won the encounter 5-1.
Tottenham supporters took to Twitter to voice out their reaction to their side’s huge loss against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park on Sunday afternoon.

Let’s not kid ourselves. We should NEVER EVER EVER have gone into the last game of the season with a chance of losing second. #thfc #joke

Being second for the most of 2016 and then a 0-4 win at Stoke marked the end of our campaign. WHOLE MONTH without a win. Disappointed #COYS

Disappointed to blow second after a great season, that’s the normal Spurs.

Could have won the league, should have come second, finished third. Really disappointing end to the season. #COYS @tomkynastonn

Absolutely awful. Third is amazing, but throwing away second by losing 4-1 to a relegated side is not good enough. #coys
